The Bridge / India · Gulf · Europe

A name passed across a room is not an introduction.

A curated connection service across the corridors I have traded in for three decades. Every introduction is mapped, qualified, prepared on both sides, and managed through to a result. Founding engagements are open.

What you get

Introductions to people who can actually decide.

Prepared on both sides before they happen, and held until they turn into business or a clear no.

§ I. The problem

The fit was right. The process was wrong.

Companies entering India, the Gulf or Europe hit the same four walls, and the quality of what they are bringing has nothing to do with it.

four gates, none of them about the product you them who guesswork authority follow-through
  • You do not know who the counterpart actually is. Not their name, not what they can sign for, not what they are trying to do this quarter.
  • The introduction comes through someone who knows one side of the corridor and is guessing at the other.
  • Meetings happen with people who cannot sign anything, and it takes two months to find that out.
  • Between the introduction and the outcome, nobody is holding the relationship together.

A pipeline of conversations that stalls, for reasons that have nothing to do with the product.

§ II. Both sides

I have operated on both sides of these corridors.

  • Founder of a water-technology enterprise with domestic and international market presence.
  • Seven years as CEO of a listed company's import and export division: iron ore, plastics, coal and metal scrap, moving across India, Asia and the Gulf.
  • Director of a stem-cell and cord-blood venture, a sector where GCC and European institutional partnerships are the business model.
  • Advisory presence in Vadodara and Dubai, with working networks across India, the Gulf and Europe.
  • Current engagement with Austrian and European bilateral trade institutions: Advantage Austria India, CII, ICC.

The geography is the easy part. What takes years is the decision-making culture, the commercial norms, the timing, and who in the room actually holds authority.

§ III. Three corridors

Three corridors. Each one worked from both ends.

  • 01 India → GCC Manufacturing sourcing, commodity trade, healthcare distribution, consumer goods, real estate investment, technology services.
  • 02 Europe → India Market entry, distribution partnerships, water technology, environment and waste management, healthcare and biotech, engineering and infrastructure.
  • 03 GCC → India Inbound investment, trade finance, distribution, hospitality, healthcare, construction materials.

§ IV. How an engagement works

Five phases. No introduction before phase three.

the work that decides the outcome 01 02 03 the introduction 04 05
  1. 01

    Intake and target mapping

A deep read of your business, your sector, your scale and what you are trying to do. From that comes the profile of the counterpart worth reaching: geography, sector, decision authority, strategic fit. We agree a qualified target list before anything is set in motion.

  2. 02

    Qualification and preparation

Each target is weighed against your profile, and both sides are briefed. The introduction happens only when there is a real path to a deal from both directions.

  3. 03

    Managed introductions

Made with context and a stated purpose. A first conversation with an agenda and an agreed next step, both settled before it happens.

  4. 04

    Relationship management

The relationship is held from introduction to outcome: keeping momentum, working each side's internal process, and supporting the negotiation to a signed agreement or a defined next stage.

  5. 05

    Closing assessment

At the end of the term, the full pipeline: where every relationship stands, what it needs to close, and the recommended path forward.

The work that decides the outcome happens before anyone is introduced.

§ V. Who this is for

The constraint is access. Everything else you already have.

This is for companies and founders who

  • Are ready to commit to a structured process.
  • Have a proposition with commercial credibility in the target market.
  • Understand that the introduction is the bottleneck.
  • Want an advisor who has operated in these markets.

This is not

  • A directory.
  • A list of contacts.
  • A one-time referral.

§ VI. The engagement

A defined term, and a defined commercial objective.

Term, corridor coverage and structure are settled in the first conversation. What the engagement commits to is the same every time, and it is listed beside this.

A limited number of founding engagements are open at preferential terms, before The Bridge formally launches.

  • A defined termSettled in the first conversation, with the corridor coverage.
  • An agreed target mapAgreed with you before the first approach.
  • A monthly written updateIntroductions made, conversations live, next steps, pipeline position.
  • A closing assessmentWhere every relationship stands and what it needs to close.

§ Onward

The introductions come from two circles. One of them is open to application, and this is the only way in.
